Saving Money with Self Storage

Laval des Rapides storage places in Quebec, Canada are on the rise.  Canada has about the most jobs in the world these days.  Their economy has not been hit so hard by recessions around the world.  The United States of America has been hit pretty hard by the recession, but most experts blame Wall Street and the banks’ bad loans for people to buy homes.  It is always part of the American dream to own a house with a white picket fence.  Young families dream of owning a home but homes are expensive in most American cities.  They need a loan from a bank who charges interest on fifteen-year loans or thirty-year loans.  What happened in the last years or so were all these loans that were called non-traditional.  They were not fifteen –year loans or thirty-year loans but loans that had no interest for the first seven years or so, than the interest would hit.  It sounded like a good deal for young families or people, who wanted to buy a home, sell it within the seven years and make a big profit.  Thousands of these types of loans were sold over the past years.  Well, we all know what happened.  The loans, when the interest rates kicked in, were not payable by the families or the investors.  They could not afford the big jump in the monthly payments.  Some jumped up two or three hundred dollars a month.  This was hard for young couples.  Why did they think they could do it?  They thought in seven years their salary would jump up.

Laval des Rapides storage places in Quebec did not see all these customers like in the United States of America come in their place of business and rent storage spaces.  Millions of Americans could not pay their mortgage bill anymore and they foreclosed.  Now all the banks owned in these houses with no one paying on them and they were stuck.  Millions of people lost their homes and the American dream was shattered.  Now the rest of the world did not seem too sorry for the big bully on the street until it started hitting their countries hard.  America is at about nine percent unemployment but other countries have seen bigger jumps than that.  The stock markets struggled, the American Dollar went down, and oil went up.  Was it a perfect storm of all these factors happening at the same time or Wall Street and greedy executives and women’s fault?  Canada has more regulations than America and have not suffered as much, or suffered at all.

Laval des Rapides storage places did not see the business generated by this recession as American storage places saw and felt.  The storage business is basically recession free.  Storage is not a luxury people give up.  Most people need storage for their business, or they are moving, or store items they do want to give up.  In addition, storage managers will hang in there for a while if people do not pay right away.  They will charge late fees and other fees, but most of the time, you will not loose your stuff.  A month behind in your storage bill can be worked out by most storage companies.  Laval des Rapides storage places are like this too I guess.
