They had done it. For the first time Jake and Amber were first time home owners. They had searched long and hard for the home of their dreams and they had finally found it. It was a four bedroom cottage style home that was in need of some love and care to bring it to its full potential. Over the years it had fallen into disrepair and it just needed an owner who was able to see past the disrepair and see the bones of the structure for what it could be.
Now that Jake and Amber had bought it they immediately began to make plans of how they were going to make it into their dream home. Both having a background in design and construction they knew what they were doing when planning out their home. They started from the bones of the house and planned each space as they wanted it to be. There were some compromises between what they both wanted, but in the end they were both happy with the plans that they had come up with.
They wanted to do the majority of the work themselves and so they decided on a plan of attack. The first phase being the planning. Part one of their first stage was to rent a New Toronto, Ontario self storage unit. Everything but their bed, some clothes, and the coffee pot was going to be put into storage so that it was out of the way while they did the remodel. It was just easier on them not to have to work around stuff or constantly have to move furniture out of the way to get to what they were doing, or have to worry about their furniture and stuff being damaged by the dust and debris of construction.
Once everything was safe in their New Toronto self storage unit they could begin the demolition phase. A few of the non load bearing walls were coming down to create more of an open space and to also enlarge the tiny closets of the house. The bathrooms were going to be completely gutted and the flooring that was ruined was going to have to come up.
Once demolition was complete they could begin to rebuild each room as they envisioned the space to be. The bathrooms and kitchen were the first rooms to be renovated since they needed those while they were living there more than others. Next the living room and dinning rooms were given their attention. The bedrooms were next on the list and the master bedroom was given special attention to make it a relaxing oasis for them.
Last but not lease was the basement and garage areas. While these last rooms were being finished they had landscapers come in to complete their vision for the outside now that they were hopefully done with large trucks delivering stuff and construction debris out on the lawn.
While this was the longest phase for the couple to take on it was also the most fun for them. They got to take the vision that they had in their head and on the plans and make it into a reality. Of course the last phase was to move everything out of their New Toronto storage unit and into their home. This was the best phase because at the end of it they could truly say that they were home.

People go into their college years excited and scared. Excited for the new adventure and the new challenges lying ahead of them. They also look forward to the new friendships they are going to make. The other side of that picture is the anxiety about facing harder classes, being on their own for perhaps the first time, and taking their first steps into the harsh grown up world.
The four years fly by intermixed with fun, laughter, tears, and a few rough classes that you were sure was going to be the death of you. However, when you walk across the stage and get your degree you have such a feeling of accomplishment. But now what?
That was the question that Casey was trying to figure out. She had her degree, was moving off campus for the first time in five years, and into her own apartment. She had several job interviews lined up and was determined to get a great job. At least that was what she was hoping for.
Her parents had offered to let her move back in until she found a job, but Casey was determined to take her independence that she had found in college and apply it to her life. She had saved up all senior year from her part time job, and had put down a deposit on a small studio apartment. It was definitely smaller than her room in the sorority house, but for once it was all her own space.
Making grown up decisions on her own she decided to go with the small studio apartment and rent a Maple, Ontario self storage unit to help her get additional space. Sure she could have gotten a bigger apartment but even with the added cost of the Maple self storage unit she was still going to be able to save money each month, and since she was still without a job that was a good advantage to have.
After a few interviews Casey was able to get the job that she was secretly hoping would be the one that she got. It was not far from her new apartment, and was within walking distance from one of her favorite parks.
Since she had gotten the job that she wanted Casey was deciding on some long term goals for her future. She decided that she was going to stay in her studio apartment for awhile and keep her Maple self storage unit to help her get the space that she needed. She was also going to take all the money that she could and save up to start building a sizable down payment for her first house.
Just thinking about being a homeowner was a crazy idea to Casey, but she was determined not to let her fear hold her back. With her three year plan laid out before her Casey could see the paths that she needed to take to be able to reach her goals, and she was glad to have the plan.
While many of her friends were still struggling with the question of what now, Casey had her plan set for her short term and long term goals. She had a plan to make her future the best that she could, and with her determination solid she was ready to take on the world to make it happen.

Look for the Deals When Renting StorageBy jeff on March 2, 2011 | 988 Comments
The search for specials on Clairlea storage units is very important. If you are patient, you should be able to find a special that saves you a lot of money. Most people shopping for Clairlea storage units in Ontario are looking for a great deal when they are calling around, but a great deal is not just about what the lowest monthly rate is. A special can make one location cheaper than another even if the monthly rate is actually higher. The special will lower the total overall cost that you have to pay for storage.
The first month free special for Clairlea storage units is pretty common right now. A lot of facilities in Ontario offer this special or some variation of it. They may have the first month completely free or for a dollar, but the promotions are all pretty similar. Keep in mind that just because the first month is free does not mean that you will not have to pay something when you go in to rent the space so make sure to bring some money with you when you go in to rent the space. There are going to be admin fees of about twenty dollars or so at pretty much every location that offers storage units. You may have to purchase a lock, insurance, or put down a deposit on the space, as well. Ask the manager when you call in about any additional move in costs that will be associated with storage rentals.
There are some sites that offer discounts for Clairlea storage units on the first few months. They may offer something like fifty percent off for the first three months or six months. When you get a quote, make sure that you realize that the rate will go back up at the end of the promotional period. Most sites will not require any type of commitment with the special, but it is always pertinent to ask about any long term contract requirements. At most sites, you should be able to take advantage of any of these specials without committing to any length of stay. Some may wonder how facilities can afford to give away such great move in specials and the answer is simple. Most people will need storage longer than they think. Credit card companies will offer special promotions for spending a certain amount over a selected period of time. Customers will get the promotional rewards even if they just pay off the balance before any interest is added. The reason that card companies can do this is that some of those customers will carry that balance for a long period of time accruing interest along the way. This is similar to move in specials for Clairlea storage units because it works on the same law of averages.
You can also get a discount if you are a senior citizen, student, or in the military. They are typically going to discount your rate by about ten percent each month and the savings can really add up if you are looking to store for any significant period of time. The best thing to do is just to ask about any specials when you call in for prices. You can also find some great deals in the phonebook or on the internet if you look for them.

Budgeting For Your Storage UnitBy jeff on March 1, 2011 | 958 Comments

When you set up a rental for Buttonville storage units in the Ontario area, there will be a few things that will add to your initial move in cost. Do not be alarmed if the manager tells you about the costs over the phone because they are just being upfront with you. All Buttonville storage units pretty much have additional costs that are added to the first month. Some callers may like everything about the facility, but will continue shopping just to avoid an admin fee of twenty dollars.
Admin fees for Buttonville storage units are very common. If you were to call twenty locations, you would probably not find a location that does not have an admin fee. There may be some facilities in Ontario that do not have them, but you are probably still paying for it somehow. Whether it is through a higher monthly rent or through extra costs on the locks, it is added in somewhere. All Buttonville storage units are pretty much rented on a month to month basis. Because of this, the site will need to recover the money that it costs to get you set up with your storage. Costs to get you set up with a storage unit include, but are not limited to, paperwork, getting you set up with your gate code, and employee wages. The admin fee is only about twenty dollars at most facilities. Make sure to ask what it is when you call in because some may only be ten dollars while some may be as high as thirty dollars. This will help you figure out what your total cost of storage will be as opposed to just the monthly rate and that is really what you are after if you are calling for prices.
Sites will require that their Buttonville storage units have locks on the doors when customers rent a storage unit. This is a common sense policy that will make your storage unit more secure so you should not be upset about this. Some sites will throw in the lock for free, but most will sell the locks at the facility. Once you purchase the lock, it is yours so you can take it with you when you no longer need the storage unit. You will have the lock forever so if you need storage again in the future, you will already have the lock. The free locks that sites will give away for free are probably just the standard padlocks that work with a key. They are ok but are very easy to cut or break into. Disc or cylinder locks are much better at protecting your things. Some sites may give away disc or cylinder locks with storage rentals, but that is pretty rare.
Sites will typically offer insurance to storage renters. Just like with apartment rentals, the renters are responsible for their good while they store and not the storage property owner. Insurance is a great way to have peace of mind while you rent and will prepare in the unlikely even that your good will experience damage while in storage. You should ask the manager what the insurance plans cover so there is no confusion later on if something where to happen to your things. There are probably multiple plans to choose from.

Laval des Rapides storage places in Quebec, Canada are on the rise. Canada has about the most jobs in the world these days. Their economy has not been hit so hard by recessions around the world. The United States of America has been hit pretty hard by the recession, but most experts blame Wall Street and the banks’ bad loans for people to buy homes. It is always part of the American dream to own a house with a white picket fence. Young families dream of owning a home but homes are expensive in most American cities. They need a loan from a bank who charges interest on fifteen-year loans or thirty-year loans. What happened in the last years or so were all these loans that were called non-traditional. They were not fifteen –year loans or thirty-year loans but loans that had no interest for the first seven years or so, than the interest would hit. It sounded like a good deal for young families or people, who wanted to buy a home, sell it within the seven years and make a big profit. Thousands of these types of loans were sold over the past years. Well, we all know what happened. The loans, when the interest rates kicked in, were not payable by the families or the investors. They could not afford the big jump in the monthly payments. Some jumped up two or three hundred dollars a month. This was hard for young couples. Why did they think they could do it? They thought in seven years their salary would jump up.
Laval des Rapides storage places in Quebec did not see all these customers like in the United States of America come in their place of business and rent storage spaces. Millions of Americans could not pay their mortgage bill anymore and they foreclosed. Now all the banks owned in these houses with no one paying on them and they were stuck. Millions of people lost their homes and the American dream was shattered. Now the rest of the world did not seem too sorry for the big bully on the street until it started hitting their countries hard. America is at about nine percent unemployment but other countries have seen bigger jumps than that. The stock markets struggled, the American Dollar went down, and oil went up. Was it a perfect storm of all these factors happening at the same time or Wall Street and greedy executives and women’s fault? Canada has more regulations than America and have not suffered as much, or suffered at all.
Laval des Rapides storage places did not see the business generated by this recession as American storage places saw and felt. The storage business is basically recession free. Storage is not a luxury people give up. Most people need storage for their business, or they are moving, or store items they do want to give up. In addition, storage managers will hang in there for a while if people do not pay right away. They will charge late fees and other fees, but most of the time, you will not loose your stuff. A month behind in your storage bill can be worked out by most storage companies. Laval des Rapides storage places are like this too I guess.

Nowadays, many people opt for budget self storage to store their items safely, without burning a hole in their pockets. People have different reasons for using store house facilities. These facilities are widely used for de-cluttering the home or for temporary storing of goods during renovation of homes or while shifting to a new city. People use store houses for storing anything from old clothes to a new car.
To get a warehouse facility that fits your budget, you should consider the following points.
Know Your Needs
To find an appropriate budget storing for your stuff, you should first know what you want to store. You should be clear about what all you would like to shift to a store house and how much space, you will need. While deciding this, you have to also take into consideration that how often you will need your stuff. If you use something occasionally then you can safely shift that thing to the store house.
Once you are ready with the list of stuff you want to store and the size of the same, the next thing to decide is whether you need a climate controlled unit or not. If your list of stuff includes important documents or anything that can get damaged due to weather severity, then it is wise to opt for a climate-controlled unit. For e.g. if you are planning to shift your old car to a store house then even an open storing facility with a roof is okay. But, if you are planning to shift your costly recreational vehicle to the store house then you will definitely need a fully enclosed temperature controlled unit. Knowing your needs takes you a step closer to a budget self storage .
Collect The DataOnce you are clear about your needs, you should then prepare a list of the warehouses in your area. You can collect the details of their services, charges, sizes of the units available, facilities, offers etc. by either visiting them or through the Internet. Generally people use both the options, that is, they shortlist the warehouses after getting the details from the Internet and then visit them to have a look at their facilities. An important point to note at this stage is the size of the storing units. You should look for warehouses that offer the size closest, if not exactly the same, to the size that you need. Since the warehouses charge you according to the size of the unit, this can reduce your cost of occupancy. Once you have short-listed one or two store houses, it is the time to wait for sometime. Store houses generally keep coming out with various offers, more so during off season, to ensure that all their storing units are full. Once such offers are available you can then choose the best one to get a budget store rooms.
It is important to make sure that you do not compromise on a few things while hiring safekeeping services. The first thing is the security and safety arrangements at the store house. Another important thing is the insurance of your goods. Most of the warehouses insure your goods before storing. Make sure that you do not undervalue your goods while insuring.
Thus, while selecting a warehouse, you should be very clear about your needs. This will help you to get the best budget Markham storage .
